Music is an extremely important part of my workouts. I really can’t lift in silence and I usually hate the top 40 music and cheesy electronic music that is played in my gym over the sound system there.
The music that I listen to helps me get amped up and somehow gets me lost in my workout. I focus on somewhat intense music, but not exactly heavy metal. I’d like to call it a sense of zen that I sometimes get, but I’m not sure you can reach that with Linkin Park screaming in your ear.
Again, I don’t do a lot of cardio, so this gym playlist is music that I use personally for weight lifting. This has been my playlist for over a year and it hasn’t gotten old yet. It is more about the energy you get from the songs, and not the songs themselves.
