A Good Liver Recipe (The Bacon Helps)

Serves: 2
  • 3-4 slices of thick cut bacon (chopped)
  • 1.5 lb beef liver, sliced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Pepper to taste
  1. In a large pan on medium-high heat, start cooking the bacon.
  2. When the bacon juice creates a bit of a layer on the pan, add in the mushrooms with the spices. Cook and mix for about 5 minutes, until the mushrooms are soft.
  3. Push the mushrooms and bacon to the side of the pan, turn the heat to high.
  4. Add the liver to the open space and sear the meat on each side for about one minute.
  5. After you flip the liver the first time, lover the heat to medium and top with the bacon/mushroom mixture
  6. Cook for 5-8 minutes. Mix everything for the last minute while cooking.
  7. Put on a plate and eat
